Serena is an associate in our Tax and Estates Group where she focuses on estate planning, estate administration, and family trusts.
She joined Robins Appleby LLP as an associate in 2011, prior to which she worked as both a summer student and an articling student at the firm, assisting with commercial litigation, real estate, tax, and estate files.
Serena takes a client-based approach to her work. She stands out for her responsiveness, flexibility and sensitivity to clients’ needs and concerns. In Serena, clients find someone who is hard working, approachable and able to communicate technical information in a straightforward manner. She is an efficient, results - oriented individual who applies critical thinking and analytical skills to find practical solutions to complex issues. In all matters of personal and business estate planning, Serena works with financial advisors, accountants and other professionals to provide advice on the most beneficial and advantageous ways for her clients to divide and structure their assets.
Serena’s passion for learning about people and other cultures led her to study in Canada and internationally. In addition to degrees from Dalhousie University in Halifax and Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, Serena studied American and International Law at Paris-Sorbonne University, and the History of Middle Eastern Conflict at Tel Aviv University.
