Bio
Inventive and analytical, Faye Kravetz enjoys finding unique solutions for her clients’ challenging tax issues. She is a creative problem solver who has cultivated a reputation for tackling matters with a logical approach to address her clients’ needs. She emphasizes diligence in her practice and she leverages her team to deliver great results.
Faye practices in Robins Appleby’s Tax group. She previously practiced at the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), two multi-national Canadian law firms and a first tier New York Law Firm. At the CRA she worked in the Income Tax Rulings Directorate as an Industry Specialist and in audit as a National Avoidance Technical Advisor in the Abusive Tax Avoidance and Technical Support Division. In these roles she provided strategic and technical support to various groups throughout government, including the Department of Justice and the Department of Finance. Through this “behind the scenes” experience, Faye has cultivated significant insight into the CRA’s operations enabling her to skillfully navigate clients through all levels of CRA communications and disputes. Her extensive experience working with stakeholders across all levels of government has contributed to a deep understanding of Canada’s tax system. She analyzes tax issues from many different perspectives, giving her clients unique insights some of which she has begun sharing on her blog – CRA with Faye.
In her work, Faye takes great care to deliver the best possible results for her clients. She is invested in their success and makes it her mission to relate to them on a personal level to build great working relationships. This helps her to better identify their needs and recommend solutions that are right for them.
Faye brings a lot of energy to her role, creating positive experiences for clients and colleagues alike. She combines this with her strong knowledge of tax law to understand her clients, determine their needs, and provide tailored plans.
Faye has earned the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation from the international Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP)
Outside of the office, Faye is a member of the Canadian Jewish Political Affairs Committee where she volunteers with an all-women’s political outreach group. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, singing, skiing, and white-water kayaking.
