Zale Skolnik is an associate in our Real Estate Group where he advises clients on all aspects of real estate law, including commercial sales and acquisitions, commercial leasing, financing and development.
Prior to becoming an associate, Zale worked as a summer and articling student with Robins Appleby LLP. While completing his summer and articling rotations, he assisted with legal matters in all of the firm's practice areas focusing specifically on commercial litigation, corporate and real estate matters.
Zale's client-based approach to his work has allowed him to develop positive working relationships with clients and opposing parties. His friendly nature, exceptional communication skills and ability to provide practical and timely advice translates into negotiations that achieve optimal results for clients.
In addition to studying law at Queen's University and English Literature at the University of Western Ontario, Zale completed a semester abroad at Hong Kong University where he studied international business law. The recipient of several awards throughout his academic career, Zale is also actively involved in the community, where he has hosted a weekly jazz and blues radio program, volunteered at a local musical instrument lending library and worked as a ski instructor for people with physical and developmental challenges.
While away from the office, Zale is a patron of Toronto’s local music scene and an avid backcountry adventurer where he has enjoyed trekking in Nepal, paddling throughout Northern Canada and rock climbing all over the world.
