Estates & Tax Group partner Ronald Appleby Q.C. and Corporate Group partner Jonathan Zepp acted on the purchase by the family of Al and the late Faye Mintz of 2,070 Annie Leibovitz photographic prints known as the Book Collection No. 1, featuring such iconic photographs as The Blues Brothers, Yoko Ono and John Lennon (taken on the day he was
shot), Mick Jagger, Whoopi Goldberg in milk, Bette Milder in roses and a pregnant Demi Moore in the nude which famously graced the cover of Vanity Fair. Ronald and Jonathan also acted on the donation by the Mintz family of the collection to the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia. The Mintz family's gift is considered a game changer for the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and the City of Halifax. The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia will be creating a dedicated space to show this collection, making it an art destination. The purchase and donation was featured in
