Amanda is a lawyer in our tax group experienced in corporate reorganizations, estate and business succession planning, and post-mortem reorganizations. Amanda's friendly nature, patient demeanour and practical knowledge enable her to assist clients to navigate complex tax matters.
Before joining Robins Appleby, Amanda practised tax law at a large national law firm, where she gained experience with mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions and executive compensation matters.
Amanda is an editor for Canadian Tax Focus, a quarterly newsletter targeted toward junior tax practitioners. She has written a number of articles published by Federated Press, CCH (Wolters Kluwer), and Canadian Tax Focus. She has also presented on various tax topics and regularly guest lectures at York University's Schulich School of Business in its Real Estate and Infrastructure program. Amanda co-chairs the Canadian Tax Foundation's annual Women in Tax event.
In her spare time, Amanda enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. She is an avid reader and podcast listener, with topics ranging from business and economics to pop culture.
