Prior to joining Robins Appleby LLP, Joey articled at a mid-sized law firm in Toronto where he gained experience in civil and commercial litigation, real estate, estate planning, and corporate transactions.
Joey has a general litigation practice with experience in commercial and real estate disputes, fraud, bankruptcy and insolvency, receiverships, shareholder and contract disputes, and landlord and tenant disputes.
Joey has represented clients before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (including the Commercial List), the Court of Appeal for Ontario, the Landlord and Tenant Board, and at mediations.
While in law school, Joey specialized in Dispute Resolution and Professionalism where he gained practical experience in dispute resolution processes and professionalism, including professional ethics, and written and oral advocacy.
Outside of the office, Joey volunteers as a pro bono lawyer with The 519 Legal Clinic, and enjoys spending time with family, friends and his dog Rüfüs. Pronouns: He/Him/His
