Bio
Anisha is an associate in our Litigation and Dispute Resolution group where she maintains a broad commercial litigation practice. She has experience in real estate disputes, fraud, bankruptcy and insolvency, receiverships, and general contract disputes. Anisha also has experience in class action lawsuits.
Prior to joining Robins Appleby, Anisha articled at a full-service law firm in Toronto where she practiced civil and commercial litigation with a focus on class actions.
Anisha has worked on matters at all levels of court in Ontario, including the Superior Court of Justice (including the Commercial List) and the Court of Appeal. She has also worked on matters heard before tribunals including the License Appeal Tribunal, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, and the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal. She takes an avid interest in participating in alternative dispute resolution processes, such as mediations and arbitrations.
Anisha holds a dual BCL/JD degree from McGill University’s Faculty of Law. While at law school, Anisha honed her advocacy skills with the McGill Court Accompaniment Program, the McGill Legal Clinic, and the Compass Start-up and Legal Clinic. She was the recipient of the Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg Award for Community Engagement, and the Schull-Yang International Experience Award.
Outside of the office, Anisha volunteers with the Toronto Humane Society and is studying to be a certified sommelier. She enjoys cycling, hiking, yoga, and exploring the Toronto restaurant scene.
